Lisa Fernholz, MBA

Ms. Fernholz is an instructor with Buena Vista University at the Lakes and Prairie Campus in the Iowa Great Lakes region.  She has been teaching business courses for Buena Vista since 1999.  She also is an instructor at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa since the fall of 2006.  Prior to moving to teaching on a full-time basis in 2006, Ms. Fernholz worked in industry for a number of years.  She has worked in agricultural manufacturing for over 12 years at companies such as AGCO and Purina Mills.  She spent 3 years in health care of the Director of Finance at a local hospital.

During her tenure with BVU, Ms. Fernholz has developed her Entrepreneurship class to provide as realistic experience in the healthcare business world.  The focus of Business Plans for the Health Care Professional is helping you to plan for practice success course by creating comprehensive business plan. 

Through the years Ms. Fernholz has been an advocate of chiropractic. She has aided through the business process of buying and selling a clinic, and opening satellite clinics.  Dr. Moreau and Ms. Fernholz understand the concepts of business classes specifically customized to meet the needs of the Doctor of Chiropractic.  In today's economic time it is increasingly apparent that the need and demand for business classes is great and these needs and demands were not being met.  Look for continued development of an entire series of business classes specifically for the Chiropractic provider and his/her clinic.

In her spare time Ms. Fernholz enjoys gardening, reading, and quality time with her son.
