RULES ON WEARING SPECIAL
EQUIPMENT AND BRACES FOR 2005-06
There are provisions in the National
Federation (high school) rule books which pertain to the wearing of special
equipment and braces. The purpose of this handout is to provide a summary of
those provisions. This handout may be used as an easy reference by
administrators, coaches, officials and medical and paramedical personnel.
Coaches should familiarize themselves with the rules of their sport so they do
not misinform athletes, parents and/or medical personnel regarding what an
injured athlete may or may not wear during competition.
